I joined Mr Sachdev around 2000, when Su-Kam was already deep in inverter work. I was not there for 1988–1999 — the cable television rooftops and community antenna television installs of an era when India’s satellite-TV entrepreneurs wired apartment blocks in the early 1990s, Hong Kong and Singapore exhibition floors, the spectrum analyser at customs, EchoStar distributorship, dish systems on VVIP rooftops, or the early bench work that preceded power backup. A TRAI consultation paper on cable TV industry origins in India later traced how that informal market became an industry.
This legacy does not retell those years. They sit outside the scope of what I can speak to as a witness in the room.

Su-Kam dissociation: Mr Kunwer Sachdev is no longer associated with Su-Kam Power Systems Ltd. and has not been involved in its management, operations, or decision-making for several years. He ceased to be Managing Director and Promoter following insolvency proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code; the company was acquired by new owners through the NCLT process (2019–2022).
